Still in Spain, not for adoption yet!
Shena will be joining us soon from Spain. Here is a write up from the shelter . Shena, Spanish galga
Female born 10.05.2016, 30 kg and 66 cm.
Negative diseases
Shena’s former owner arrived one morning at the shelter with her. The man was old and sick. He stopped hunting and wanted us to find him a new home.
Shena is one of the most beautiful galgas that arrived at the refuge. She is the archetype of this magnificent breed: elegance, slenderness and kindness. She has a very pronounced hunting instinct and a slight dominant character. She will not hesitate to come and impose herself in front of any dog who wishes to dominate her.
She has a very gentle character with people and is easily handled. She walks very well on a leash and her royal bearing attracts all eyes.
When she is outside, Shena is always alert and at the slightest chase of other dogs, she will come to provoke them to show them her strength and speed. Shena is still a little dominant with food.
This magnificent galga will adapt without any problem in a new family but it is desirable that she can enjoy a well enclosed garden with a minimum fence height of 1m80 and with galgo savvy people.
Ok children: sweet and affectionate
Ok dogs but not dominant dogs and also no small dogs (she wants to chase them like rabbits).
