Isn’t she a beauty Believed to be Chesapeake Retriever x Greyhound.

This young lady is still a pup at 12 months old and has already experienced a lot of discord in her life. Marni was living in a home with domestic violence, when her owner had to leave to go to a safe house, poor Marni was left behind. Needless to say she was very scared on arrival here and this would present as low level growling but tail wagging, in other words.. I want to say hello but you might hurt me

Over these past weeks Marni has transformed into a wonderful, happy girl, her confidence is growing by the day and she’s meeting lots of new people, which is all helping to build her confidence.

Providing introductions are done in a considered manner and involve treats, Marni is realising that humans are a good thing !!

She’s good on walks and surprisingly unreactive to strangers we pass on our routes.

She gets on well with other dogs, including smaller breeds and is very clean and settled indoors.

Because of her previous history we’re looking for an experienced home without children. She’s a very intelligent dog so someone active who would enjoy playing games and training would be ideal. She learned to sit, stay, paw, down in a couple days.

She is in West Sussex branch.
