Jasper is approximately 12-18 months old and has had a rocky start to life. He was found after a suspected RTC with a severely broken front leg and a broken hock on the same side. He had the front leg pinned but sadly the bone rejected the pins and the wound started to break down, leaving us with no choice but to amputate. The hock on the back leg has fused totally so he copes well on 3 legs. Jasper is a very playful, cheeky and happy pup. He is incredibly affectionate and really enjoys a cuddle. Jasper is crate trained, house trained, and walks well on the lead once the initial excitement is out of his system. Jasper would suit a home with another confident and playful dog, I strongly expect that his training will come easier if there is another well behaved dog for him to learn from. He is currently living with 3 other large breed dogs and a Yorkshire Terrier and he is very gentle in play. Jasper already knows basic commands (treats help!!) sit, lay down and wait. He could give paw before but that is no longer an option, although he does still try haha. Jasper would suit a home with 10+ year old children who are very respectful of dogs and understand clear boundaries, he would not suit a home with cats. Jasper can be very nervous of new people so 2/3 introductions would be necessary before homing in order to gain a clear understanding of his needs and personality.
