Beautiful Old girl Iris
She arrived from China last week after she had been waiting over 2 years in boarding kennels. Her story is pretty sad she was found straying the streets in Beijing so one of our team in China brought her to the kennels. One day a maintenance man came to the kennels and noticed her and Iris was so excited it turns out he was her owner and she had gone missing. He had her a very long time as a pet. Unfortunately he couldn’t take her back so she was left in the kennels. She is around 10/11 years old and full of life she’s completely batty and anyone who has had an older female Greyhound knows they are either sweet little gentle girls or batty old birds!!
Iris is sweet and loving but she’s an old girl who thinks she can run around like a pup. She’s having a big dental next week then should be ready for her forever home. She’s currently in foster with our founder Kerry in Lincolnshire. Candy’s Hound Rescue International
Loves fuss and people, loves toys, loves treats, loves being told she’s a beautiful old batty doggy, loves walkies, loves small humans, loves people and being groomed, loves life and at ten years plus has an amazing zest for life that’s infectious.
House trained, can be left up to five hours, travels well, no food aggression, sleeps all night. Unfortunately wants to chase cats, so can’t live with cats.
