Honey & Africa
Honey and Africa are looking for a home together. Honey has been here over 12 months and Africa 10 months and during that time they have become bonded so they need a home together.
Honey is a Podenco around 3 years old, she’s the sweetest of little souls and once she gets to know you and trust you then you have a friend for life. She’s had a pretty rough start to life and was used for hunting in Spain – she was rescued by Benidorn Dog Homing who asked us to take her. She’s clever and high energy – she’s so switched on you have to work her brain as well as physical exercise. She’s great with dogs but can bark at dogs when she’s on the lead. She loves playing and in her time here has blossomed into the most precious soul.
Africa is around 4 years old, she has had major heart surgery this year which was successful but apparently her life expectancy is around 3 years. She can be a monkey when first meeting dogs but once she’s made friends she’s great. She is very shy of new people so would need someone committed to meeting her a few times.
Africa is strong as an Ox on a walk so needs someone fit and healthy to walk her. She’s a love bug and loves toys and playing biting face with Honey and the other dogs! The shepherd in her makes her a great guard dog – you will know the Amazon man is here before he even walks up the path!
