Daithi is a big, stunning ex racing greyhound from Ireland. He has an amazing kind temperament and is super affectionate. He’s good with children and gets on well with all dogs, including small breeds but we always recommend careful introductions.

Daithi loves his walks and is a pleasure on the lead, being neither strong or reactive to other dogs. He might get a little animated if he spots a squirrel but is far too polite to pull you. Daithi absolutely loves his toys and has quite a collection he’s pilfered from the garden and stashed in his bed, he can often be heard at 2am squeaking his banana Other than that, you wouldn’t know he’s here half the time as his third favourite thing after walks and hoarding toys is sleeping, usually in the roached position

Daithi originally joined us from Ireland where he’d sadly broken his hock on the track and then wasn’t given the necessary veterinary care in the aftermath This has resulted in it fusing badly and, on Veterinary advice, we feel it’s best left as is now, however it doesn’t get him down one bit and we feel he deserves a home where he can have two gentle walks a day, play with you with his toys and receive lots of love and affection. His hock is easily managed with pain medication and it doesn’t stop him running to fetch and flip toys, he just needs controlled exercise.
