Adoption Process

THINKING ABOUT ADOPTION?

The most important part of the process is making sure that the dog you’d like to adopt is right for you and that you are right for them. The first step is to get in touch. We’ll ask you about your lifestyle, who lives with you and if you have any other pets in the household. For instance, if you work full time you’ll need a laid back dog who is happy to be left and doesn’t have separation anxiety. Once you have found your match you can reserve your dog. We’ll then carry out a home check. We don’t do this to judge your house keeping or your decor! We just want to check that your garden is secure and that you have space for a dog bed. Also, we want to get to know you and any family or other animals the dog will be living with a bit better. If you do have other dogs they will need to meet your new dog prior to adoption being approved. If all goes well, and your home check is passed, you can come and collect your new friend straight away!
