Rocky, Blaze,Tye, Buddy and Denise have safely arrived in New York with New Jersey Greyhound friends. They travelled from Heathrow Airport on 03/01/20. They all will be going to foster homes. Theres so many greyhounds in the UK and Ireland that it’s impossible to rehome them all. I have mixed feelings sending them to America but people in America love greyhounds and love the black male greyhounds so it is a win win really for the dogs and Birmingham Greyhound Protection because we can help more dogs. We have another five leaving soon. All dogs are castrated, chipped and vaccinated. While at the airport we started talking to a gentleman who was also travelling to NY for work with his dog who has never travelled before so understandably was nervous about the flight. It turns out it was the actor Rupert Everett ❤️.We spoke about the greyhounds, racing industry and the dogs in China. Rupert has said he will be in touch to adopt a greyhound or a whippet 😍
